Your Legacy, Their Future
The Southern Thailand Elephant Foundation is providing free veterinary care to elephants in Thailand to improve their welfare and to protect the future of the endangered Asian elephant. Founded in November 2017 (see our Timeline), thanks to our generous supporters STEF has raised sufficient funds to build a specialist elephant hospital at Khok Kloi, and to support a mobile clinic to visit sick or injured elephants in remote areas of Southern Thailand. We now need to ensure that sufficient funds are raised to sustain and develop the project to help even more elephants in need.
After making provision for your loved ones would you also consider remembering STEF in your Will? You will be helping to safeguard the future of these magnificent creatures. A legacy gift will enable us to continue running the veterinary centre and mobile clinic, so that we can help endangered Asian elephants to live longer and healthier lives in suitable environments and, in doing so, give them a better chance of long-term survival as a species.
How to make a bequest
There are several different types of gifts in Wills. You may choose to leave us a specific sum (pecuniary legacy), a specific non-money item (a specific legacy), or the whole, or a share of, your estate (a residual legacy). You may also wish that your legacy be applied for a specific purpose in which case we recommend that you contact us in advance.
We strongly recommend that you take legal advice when making or updating your Will, particularly if you have complicated financial or family circumstances. In order to make it as easy as possible for you to add STEF to the charities remembered in your Will, we have compiled some guidance notes that can be downloaded STEF Legacy Guidance Notes. This has all the information you need to take to your solicitor.
