Together for Elephants: This Quarter’s STEF Highlights

We’re pleased to share the latest news and reflections from STEF. In this update, our Chairman looks back at recent progress, highlights some of the challenges we’re tackling, and outlines exciting plans for the months ahead.

This quarter STEF celebrated the fantastic outcome of our Christmas Big Give Campaign, raising over £12,000 thanks to our generous supporters. The centre also recieved some much needed renovation work on the kitchen and bathroom facilities, improving the living quarters for all of our fantastic volunteers. A much-needed steel gantry and mechanical hoist were also installed which will help hugely with transporting sick or weak elephants into the treatment area. To top it off, Blackpool Zoo celebrates the the arrival of a new calf, Zaiya, who now at 4 months old is thriving.
