Jakrapob Thaotad

Jake studied clinical microbiology and biomedical science at the University of Greenwich and Queen Mary University of London before taking a job with the UK life sciences company hVivo.  Jake returned to his native Thailand to establish Phang Nga Elephant Park in 2015. He remains its Managing Director and co-owner and the Park has grown to become one of the leading, ethical tourist destinations in southern Thailand. Jake’s family has owned elephants for generations and he cares deeply about their health and improving welfare. (See the Story of STEF)
