STEF has treated over 200 elephants in the last year, often in remote areas of Southern Thailand

In the last year, funds provided by our supporters have paid for the treatment of over 200 elephants in the Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi and Surat Thani Provinces in Southern Thailand, but we continue to need more money for medicines, particularly now that our elephant hospital has opened (see news story).
Many elephant owners are living at subsistence level in remote areas of Thailand, so we want to continue providing medical care to their elephants free of charge to avoid these elephants suffering needlessly through lack of funds.
