Yui
Our vets joined Krabi Elephant Hospital where a 56-year-old female elephant named Yui was treated. She was diagnosed with ocular disorders, including a deep corneal ulcer, corneal melting, and an abscess. The veterinarian administered systemic and topical antibiotics, along with anti-inflammatory treatment to address the condition. However, due to the elephant’s resistance to the topical antibiotics, the veterinarian considered administering a stem cell injection. After two weeks of stem cell injections, Yui responded positively to the treatment and made a good recovery.
