Dr Cookie has a degree in veterinary science from Chulalongkorn University, where she graduated in 2016.  Since then, she has been working with elephants in a variety of settings.  Initially, she cared for the health of elephants at the Ran-Tong elephant rescue camp in Chiang-Mai, and soon after that became a trainee vet at Lampang elephant hospital.   She joined the Krabi Elephant Hospital, a government run hospital, in 2017, where she became Acting Chief of the hospital before leaving in August 2022.

Joining STEFT in May 2023, Dr Cookie brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience.  She has attended many conferences and training courses on elephant health, welfare and management, and has considerable experience in treating sick and injured elephants.
