Somrak, a large male tusker, was admitted to the STEF hospital for treatment after his owner noticed his eye was cloudy. This ocular disorder turned out to be a corneal ulceration which could be treated topically with eyedrops.
After 14 days the eye was looking much clearer and Somrak was given the all clear to return home.
