Volunteer Opportunities

Veterinary Programme

elephant vet

Would you like to spend a week or more at the STEF Veterinary Centre in Thailand learning about the veterinary care and management of elephants?

Our sister charity, STEF Thailand (STEFT), has recently established a VETERINARY VOLUNTEER PROGRAMME for veterinary students, veterinary nurses and qualified vets, and can include gap year students interested in veterinary/zoological or conservation studies

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with elephants in Thailand whilst enhancing your veterinary qualification (EMS) or adding to your work experience as a student.  See our news story for testimonials from students who have already volunteered with us, and read Vanessa Klabouch’s blogs on her six weeks volunteering as an elephant vet with STEFT.

You can also find out more on the STEFT website.  Do contact us if you have any questions: coordinator@stefthailand.org

General Volunteering

STEF volunteer

We are often looking for volunteers at STEF, mainly for fundraising and marketing support in the UK and elsewhere. All applicants should be committed to elephant welfare, with a particular interest in Asian elephants.

If you are interested, please contact us in the first instance and we can advise you of opportunities that may be suitable.

We are very lucky to have such fantastic volunteers (past and present), so do read more about them.
