Holly Collicott

Holly is the main contributor to our journal pages. She enjoyed writing articles at university, where she studied Biology and Psychology. She was particularly interested in intelligent, emotional animals like elephants. Holly previously volunteered at Phang Nga Elephant Park in Thailand and has also worked in animal sanctuaries and reserves in the UK. She’s had quite different jobs in finance, customer service and childcare, but now loves working with the homeless for a charity in Southeast England.  Holly hopes to visit Thailand again soon and to continue learning about the Thai language and culture, in order to understand and collaborate with Thai people. In the meantime she is giving up some of her time to help us at STEF to increase awareness of our work and our interest in the health, welfare and cultural importance of the Asian elephant.
