Blaid Raybould

While studying Mechanical Engineering at Northumbria University, Blaid undertook a volunteering opportunity at the Phang Nga Elephant Park in Thailand where he developed a passion for elephant welfare and enjoyed educating visitors about the history of the Thai elephant.

Previously, Blaid had volunteered in Cambodia and Vietnam working with children suffering from HIV and AIDS, and it was here that he first developed his love for the south-east Asian culture and people. Using this experience, Blaid went on to become a Summer Camp Director at Lake YMCA Camp in Michigan, USA. Blaid now lives in London where he is on a graduate program working in the energy industry.

He is delighted to be working as a Media and Fundraising Volunteer with STEF and looks forward to hearing from anyone who has any questions about our work or who would like to help. Just fill in the Contact us form.
